Plastics Scorecard

Ripple was hired by a group of green chemistry experts to introduce a “plastics scorecard” to help manufacturers, purchasers and government agencies replace harmful plastics with less toxic, more recyclable alternatives. We worked with Clean Production Action and Pure Strategies to introduce this tool aimed at improving the design of plastic products across their lifecycles.

Our challenge was to write a press release and create background materials that a layperson could understand, even though the scorecard itself was written for audiences with a science background. We released this story at the Biopolymer Symposium in Chicago and received widespread coverage in trade publications, which was the goal of this campaign.
