Network of Spiritual Progressives
We were so excited when the Washington Post ran a FRONT PAGE STORY about the Network of Spiritual Progressives’ conference publicized by Ripple. “Religious Liberals Gain New Visibility” was the headline, in reference to the Washington, DC event that drew more than 1,200 people from all faiths who are helping to build a progressive, spiritual movement as an alternative to the religious right. Speakers at the conference included: Rabbi Michael Lerner, Reverend Jim Wallis, Arun Gandhi, Robert Thurman, Seyyed Hossein Nasr and Cindy Sheehan. Other media who covered the conference included the New York Times, Time Magazine, Associated Press, NBC, Houston Chronicle, Washington Times, Beliefnet, and many more.
