Sick of Dust Report

Clean Production Action knew that their study on the hazardous chemicals found in household dust needed media attention in order to be heard by key legislators. Ripple worked with them to create compelling messages, extract the study’s most newsworthy findings, and develop press materials that would make it easy for reporters to write their stories.

We organized a national press teleconference to release the study – “Sick of Dust: Chemicals in Common Products – A Needless Health Threat in Our Homes” – which was attended by more than 20 reporters. The story with our precise messages ran in dozens of television, radio and print outlets including the Wall Street Journal, Associated Press, ABC, NBC, CBS, Fox, ABC Radio, CBS Radio and the San Francisco Chronicle. We also helped place an op-ed on Alternet by Beverly Thorpe, who co-authored the study.
