Autism, Infertility & Childhood Cancers
While our client, Safer Chemicals Healthy Families, was lobbying in Washington to overhaul our failed federal chemicals policy, Ripple was working to draw connections in the public sphere between toxic chemicals and various health implications. We organized three press teleconferences offering background between chemical exposure and infertility, autism and childhood cancers. For each of these events we gathered expert spokespeople that included leading researchers, M.D.’s, moms and policy analysts. Although we weren’t “breaking news,” our compelling topics and speakers drew widespread interest from press including AP, USA Today, Agence France Presse, CNN, Web MD, Boston Globe, Chicago Tribune, American Baby magazine, chemical trade press, mom bloggers and more.
The CNN story generated over 1,100 comments and was recommended over 8,000 times.
